Boulder, CO Engagement | Denver Wedding Photographer
Such a fun engagement shoot out in Boulder on Friday! We got a great mix of epic mountains and fun, little moments. Hope you enjoy Cassie and Thomas’ Boulder engagement session!
From the moment I met them out for beers at Seedstock Brewery, I knew Cassie and Thomas were going to be a lot of fun to work with! They were just so easy going and clearly loved being around each other, which is what I always look for in my couples. They have such a great story meeting in Minneapolis and eventually finding each other again Denver. Which is fantastic because, based on the time I’ve spent with them, they clearly belong together!
Fast forward to their engagement session this past Friday and they absolutely did not disappoint! Of course, we created some very epic and beautiful mountain photos, but my favorite parts were all the fun, little moments we were able to capture. Don’t get me wrong, ever since I moved out to Colorado these mountain photos are a dream! But I’ll always adore the small, fun moments more than anything else. I can’t wait to capture more of Cassie and Thomas’ moments together when they get married in September! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these photos from their engagement session!
I mean right from the beginning these two were just having so much fun!
We started at Chautauqua Park and found some great spots!
We almost walked right past this spot, but there was no way I was passing up this gorgeous light!
I just love how much these two enjoy each other!
After Chautauqua Park we made it up to the Lost Gulch Overlook… and wow what a view! I loved that Cassie and Thomas were totally up for navigating these giant boulders in their dress clothes. Honestly, Cassie did better in her heels than I did in my trail runners…
So gorgeous!!
Nothing like getting your dance on at the top of a mountain!
Telluride+ Mesa Verde+ Ouray Trip
My first trip since moving out to Denver!! Wow was it a good one out in Telluride! Can’t beat a weekend trip with good views, fun times, and great friends!
Moving out to Denver recently, I was completely sure what I had gotten myself into… and so far it’s been everything I could have hoped for! Being out here I get to be near some of my closest friends and I’ve been able to meet some new people as well! So when a bunch of us decided to take a trip down to Telluride, I was so pumped! My first trip since moving to Denver and it’s in one of the most beautiful areas in the country, I was more than happy to sign up for that.
We started with a visit to Mesa Verde and it was absolutely stunning!!! The colors, the canyons, the mountains… everything about it seemed out of a painting!
Mesa Verde was unbelievable!! We did dinner at the cabin and enjoyed the evening with games and good company. But we needed some action the next day and we had the perfect hill for sledding! So of course I took pictures and they are absolutely hilarious!
It was so much fun and pretty ridiculous honestly! Finally we made our trip out to Telluride and I’ll tell you what the views did not disappoint!
What a trip! We finally capped it off with a stop in the authentic mountain town of Ouray!
I gotta say what a hell of a first trip out in Colorado!! I had so much fun with old friends and new ones. Definitely a trip I won’t forget and I can’t wait to go back!
Sarah + Adam Mountain Session | Denver Wedding Photographer
Moving to Denver was one the best decisions I’ve made in a long time! A big part of the reason is because of all the great friends out here! Adam and Sarah have been with me from the beginning, so its not surprising they are the subject of my very first blog post!
Wow taking these photos of Sarah and Adam brings back some big nostalgia vibes! Years ago, in St. Louis, these two were my first ever portrait shoot and now here we are again. Although this time they were willing to get back into their wedding attire and relive a little bit of their own nostalgia!
Needless to say the pictures turned out so gorgeous!!! Sarah looked just as beautiful in her wedding dress as she did the first time she wore it! And Adam looked great in his suit.. they complimented each other perfectly. It was just as if I was back at their wedding two years ago in STL, expect for the insane mountain views!
When some of us decided to take a trip out to the mountains near Telluride, we figured why not get some epic Colorado photos while we’re at it. Sarah and Adam have been good friends of mine for a long time and have been two of my biggest supporters on this photography journey of mine, so I'm very grateful for them and just wanted to say thank you! Thank you for always rooting for me, for your unwavering support, and, of course, for letting me use you as my models from St. Louis to Telluride! Can’t wait to take your 50th anniversary photos years down the road :)
From my very first portrait shoot to my latest! It’s been a fun four years!
So beautiful in that dress!!
I absolutely love veil shots and this one turned out great!
That backdrop though….
Gotta show off the dress!
Little behind the scenes action!
