Golden, CO Engagement Session- Denver Wedding Photographer
Despite it being a cold December evening, Lydia and Luke’s engagement session was so much fun! Golden was glowing with Christmas lights and we made sure to get some in the photos! We spent the session walking around downtown Golden,CO and got found so many good spots along the river, in the middle of the main strip, and even found some cool graffiti art to make as a backdrop! There was a chill in the air, but these two toughed it out to get some amazing photos. These two are such a joy to work with and I can imagine the wedding will be the same. Here a few from the day, enjoy!
Longmont Engagement Session- Denver Wedding Photographer
Cynthia and Chris’ engagement session was all about what they love to do in their daily life! From hanging out with their pups in their new home to having some beers and playing games, these two have such a great energy together and it was so nice to be a part of it! I’m very excited to show you these adorable pictures at home and at Left Hand Brewery. Hope you enjoy!
Fort Collins Engagement Session- Denver Wedding Photographer
Haleigh and Brian’s engagement session had such a great personal touch! Of course we got some beautiful views from the Horsetooth Reservoir, but we got to start at the place they met which is always so cool to experience! Tony’s is a bar where these two met when they were both in college at CSU and I adore this photo if them playing pool together! It was such a fun session with so much variety and I hope you enjoy!
Evergreen Engagement Session - Denver Wedding Photographer
What a year 2023 was! I’m always so thankful to be able to have these incredible engagement sessions and even better with Megan and David’s, the aspens were out in full force! They don’t stick around very long but when they do, that color is just to die for. Megan and David were so much fun to work with out in Evergreen, CO and I can’t wait to do it again for the wedding. Enjoy these photos in the meantime!
Boulder Engagement Session | Denver Wedding Photographer
Brooke and Grant came recommended to me by a good friend for their engagement session, so of course I was excited to help them out! Plus the Lost Gulch Overlook is one of my favorite all time spots for an engagement session which is always a great bonus! Brooke and Grant were awesome to work with and they even brought their pup along to get some family pictures. Here are a few from the day!
Omaha Engagement Session- Denver Wedding Photographer
I love love traveling for engagement sessions and this one was no different! Jenna and Sam invited me out to do their session at their home college, Creighton University and it was an absolute blast! Omaha was one city I hadn’t been to before so it’s always fun to go exploring over the time that I’m there in between the session. Jenna and Sam were so much fun to hang out with and we ended up with some beautiful images! I can’t wait to do it again for their wedding in Colorado Springs! Here are some from the day so I hope you enjoy!
Bailey, CO Engagement Session- Denver Wedding Photographer
It’s always so cool when my couples can use a place near and dear to them for an engagement session! Natalie and Paul’s family land in Bailey, CO was the absolute perfect place to get their photos done! With a beautiful stream and amazing rock formations all over, it wasn’t too hard to get some gorgeous shots. On top of that, they are also having their wedding there so it didn’t hurt to get the lay of the land! Here are some of the photos from their day in the Colorado wilderness!
Estes Park Wedding | Colorado Wedding Photographer
What a perfect and stunning Winter wedding Hayley and Alex had earlier this month!! At the beautiful Boulders of Black Canyon Inn over in Estes Park, I don’t think you could have dreamed of a better backdrop for their ceremony. I loved the intimacy of this wedding with just their close friends and family, it really felt like everyone was celebrating in a cabin together in the mountains. From their beautiful bridal suite, to the mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park looming behind the ceremony space, to the stunning and rustic vibes of the reception, you really get that mountain feel at Black Canyon Inn!
When Hayley and Alex first met with me, one thing that stuck out to me I thought was really cool is that they are both travel nurses and go to all different places in the country together. Being in a job like that can be tough, but the fact that you have the love of your life with you having the same experiences is so amazing to me! Not only that, but they were just two very genuine, happy people and you could feel that on wedding day.
There really were so many amazing memories created on that day. Congratulations to Hayley and Alex! Here’s my blog journaling their beautiful wedding and wonderful memories captured through my photos. Hope you enjoy!
Moss Denver Wedding | Denver Wedding Photographer
Callie and Chris’ big day was the absolute perfect way to end my wedding season! With a beautiful church ceremony at Good Shepherd Catholic Church and a fun reception at Denver Moss, the day was so easy going and these two really got to show off their love for each other. Getting two know Callie and Chris over the course of the year was such a pleasure makes me really appreciate my job :) I always love the experience of my couples doing a church wedding followed by a cool venue! You get the amazing architecture of a beautiful church and the great backdrops of Moss Denver all in one day. I love when you get that kind of variety during a wedding!
Callie and Chris were so great to work with and these two genuinely have such an amazing relationship. You could see it just in the way there were around each other and the outpouring of love from their friends and family. Their first dance is a great example of this: they were laughing and just having fun with each other the whole time and you can really see it in those dancing photos! We ended up with some absolutely stunning images throughout the day and congrats to both of you! Here’s a preview of the day, hope you enjoy!
Larkspur, Colorado Wedding | Marissa + Aiden
This small, intimate wedding was the perfect fit for Marissa and Aiden! These two are so laid back and fun loving and I am so grateful I was able to spend time with them on their wedding day. These might have been some of my favorite getting ready pictures I’ve ever had the pleasure of taking. There were so many happy tears and truly some great emotions from Marissa and her family. You could see the moment it finally hit her on how much this day meant to her and I was so happy to have the opportunity to document it. On top of that we got some really fun photos with some champagne and a bathtub that made for some really cool bridal pictures. Then the first look was everything you could hope for as a wedding photographer. Marissa and Aiden were pros when it came to the portraits and they were so comfortable with each other.
The day was gorgeous and the mountain backdrops couldn’t have looked better! One of my favorite parts of the day was a rock, paper, scissors match between Marissa and Aiden in the middle of the ceremony to see who was going to read their vows first! You’ll see in the blog below their big day was so perfect and full of laughs and tears. Held at an airbnb in Larkspur, it was a beautiful day with some really great backdrops!
I had so much fun with this day and I hope you all enjoy the photos!
Spruce Mountain Wedding- Denver Wedding Photographer
It was such a perfect day for Abby and David’s wedding at Spruce Mountain! The weather was gorgeous, the clouds were beautiful, and these two were so happy all day it was infectious! Starting with a first look at the pond, the day only got better from there. These two were so sweet and were smiling all day and the ceremony out in the ranch was absolutely picture perfect! The reception featured some very heartfelt speeches and everybody was on the dance floor having a blast. Spruce Mountain ranch is that perfect venue for getting that mountain feel without having to travel all the way into the mountains. The ceremony spot is a gorgeous field with a mountain backdrop and enough space to accommodate a wedding of any size! Everything is right near each other from the bridal suite and groom’s room to the cocktail hour and reception, so it’s perfect for a one stop shop.
Here are some photos from the day! We got some really amazing moments from Abby, David, and all of their wedding guests. They even ended their night with a fun little bubble exit with all their family and friends. I had an absolute blast photographing Abby and David’s wedding and that’s all thanks to the amazing vendors, venue, and everyone that attended! So check out all the love and laughter from the day here in this blog! Hope you enjoy the photos!
Donovan Pavilion Wedding- Vail Wedding Photographer
Miranda and Spencer’s big day up in Vail, CO was so much fun!! Rain or shine these two were going to make the most out of the day and, despite a little rain, they absolutely did that! One of the biggest things on your wedding day is to trust your vendors so you can truly enjoy the day you’ve been planning for so long and these two were so great at staying the moment with their friends, family and with each other. The photos turned out beautiful and you can really see how appreciate everyone was to be involved! Here’s a some of the photos from throughout the day to show that. Hope you enjoy!
Summer Manor House Wedding | Kelsey + Dylan
What a beautiful summer wedding Kelsey and Dylan had! The Manor House was the perfect venue for this amazing couple to show their love for one another. Getting to know these two over the past year has been such a pleasure and I can’t image a more perfect fit than Kelsey and Dylan are for each other. These two are so genuine and kind and I absolutely love their playful goofiness! From the moment I got off my first call with them and finding out they were both theater kids, I knew this was going to be a fun wedding!
Everything about the day was gorgeous, from the outdoor ceremony to the Kelsey’s beautiful dress and the reception was a blast! Even their pup, Loki, got in on the fun! Here’s a few images from the day, hope you enjoy!
Highlands Ranch Mansion Wedding- Denver Wedding Photographer
Haley and Jeremiah’s wedding was stunning in every sense of the word! From one of the most beautiful churches I’ve seen in Denver, Our Lady Of Loreto, to the always gorgeous Highlands Ranch Mansion, this wedding had it all! These two are so sweet and were such a pleasure to work with. So much planning went into this day and it was all worth it as the day went off without a hitch and was such a special moment! Highlands Ranch Mansion is one of my favorite weddings in all of Colorado. The beautiful mansion has everything you need for that fairy tale wedding, from the gorgeous architecture of the mansion itself to the picturesque walkway from the front gate. There is no shortage of photography options when it comes to this venue, even the back area has some beautiful spaces. The inside has that historic feel to it and the bridal suite is absolutely perfect with their beautiful floor to ceiling mirror!
It was such a perfect day and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with Haley and Jeremiah throughout the year and on their wedding day! They had so much fun with it and we really go to show off their personalities. These two clearly are so in love and it shows in the photos, here’s a few of those great moments from the day for you to enjoy!
Museum Of Nature & Science Wedding - Denver, CO
What a sweet couple Meg and Andrew are!! Over the year, I’ve been getting to know theses two and what was very obvious to me was how kind, generous, and fun natured these two are. And of course they very clearly love each other to end and back! What made their wedding day extra special was that everyone that celebrated with them knew exactly what I found out and they showed these two how much they meant in every way possible. It takes a really special couple to see that kind of love showed to them that I saw that night.
The day started with a beautiful ceremony at St. Elizabeth of Hungary in downtown Denver, the same place where Meg’s parents were married! It’s always so cool to be able to photograph a ceremony where the bride or groom’s parents were standing in the same spot years ago. After the ceremony we rode a pedal cab in City Park and got some great photos at the spot Andrew proposed to Meg! There were so many great memories involved in this wedding! Finally we celebrated at the beautiful Museum of Nature & Science. Such a unique and gorgeous spot for a reception and it fit these two perfectly!
So many congrats to Meg and Andrew! Here are some photos from the day, hope you enjoy!
Bell Projects Wedding- Denver Wedding Photographer
Alex and Brian’s small, intimate wedding was a nice little change of pace this wedding season! With her sister holding it at her art gallery, Bell’s Projects, in Denver, CO these two made sure it was going to be a very laid back and personal day for them. And it was absolutely beautiful!! With Brian controlling the music on his phone and these two partially winging the ceremony, there was no doubt they did it exactly the way they wanted to.
Including their precious baby girl, Matilda, in all the festivities made it all the more special! Alex and Brian were so much fun to be around and their goofy sides really made for an awesome work day for myself! You’ll be able to see their love for each other and their fun side in these photos below! Hope you enjoy!
Highlands Ranch Mansion Wedding | Stevie + Keith
What an amazing day at Highlands Ranch Mansion in Denver, CO this past Saturday! Stevie and Keith had such a beautiful celebration and it’s so clear in the pictures how deeply they are in love with each other :)
These two are so fun loving together and that alone made it such a great day for me too! From the emotional first look to the goofy wedding party photos to the absolutely beautiful ceremony and reception, this wedding had it all!
Highlands Ranch Mansion is one of my favorite venues throughout Colorado! This beautiful mansion has the look of a castle with the perfect grounds for a ceremony in the front or back. The bridal suite and groom getting ready areas are gorgeous for those start of the day photos and the entrance gate and pathway are straight out of a painting. And the reception space is perfect for any size wedding! If you’re looking for an all in one venue that can fit all your needs regardless of style or size, this is a great spot to check out!
Stevie and Keith’s vision for their wedding day really came to life with this classic and enchanting style with so many great memories to go along with it! This is includes probably my favorite first look I’ve ever been a part of! Keith’s reaction was so beautiful and had everyone on the photo and video teams tearing up. Add in a very touching ceremony and a couple pre reception tequila shots and you really can say it was a perfect day!
I’m so excited to share some of those memories in the blog today. There were way too many to choose from, but I tried to narrow it down as much as I could. I hope you enjoy!
All The Little Moments- Denver Wedding Photographer
There are so many beautiful moments tucked away in all the craziness of a wedding day.. such a large part of what I love to do is the photojournalistic aspect and getting those intimate, fun, and candid photos of my couples and everyone celebrating with them! Even my posing has a very candid vibe to it that my couples always appreciate. I just wanted to share a few of those on my blog today and really highlight what a special day this is for so many people! Enjoy!
Tips For Your Wedding Day | Denver Wedding Photographer
The big day is finally here!! All of your prep and planning is finally coming to fruition! With all of the hard work you put into it, it’s only natural you want the day to be perfect. But don’t forget this is your party and this day is about you and your soon to be groom or bride! The goal is to fully enjoy every moment and here are some tips that will help you on your big day.
Savor Every Moment
Practice mindfulness and sneak away to take in the moment. Everything will be handled by the photographer, planner, coordinator, bridal party, and family.
Feel Your Best
Do one thing that you know will calm yourself in the morning. Whether it’s a hobby, meditating, journaling, or just sitting back with some coffee and taking in the morning.
Check Your Mindset
Swap worrying about if people are having a good time with making sure YOU are having a good time. Remember everyone is here to celebrate you and your joy and happiness are what truly matters!
Trust Your Team
Your vendors are professionals specifically for this reason. Trust in the fact that they will be able to handle anything that comes their way to ensure you have an amazing day. It’s also always good to assign one or two of your bridal party to be the go to people so they can deal with the things you don’t have to!
Assign Tasks
Here are some easily forgotten tasks you can assign for your wedding:
Wrapping up leftovers
Taking home or storing gifts
Checking out with the venue coordinator
Tipping vendors
Checking in on parents
A planner or coordinator will be able to handle most of these, but if you don’t have one make sure you have family or friends that can take care of these for you!
Hang Out, Don’t Just Play Host
Make sure you’re actually enjoying your friends and family and hanging out! Do your rounds of greeting people for the first hour, catch your breath, and then commit to having fun the rest of the night. These are what cocktail hours are made for, so if you’re not taking photos, this is a perfect time to make the rounds!
Include Some Time Alone With Your New Hubby
Wedding day is a whirlwind and every couple I have ever worked with always remembers those small moments with their partner. Make sure to schedule in a few of these throughout the day!
Prep A Getting Ready Playlist
Have a playlist of all your favorite music to listen to while you’re getting ready. Whether it’s party pump up jams or something lofi to calm your nerves, have something ready. Music is such a mood changer so having a playlist makes a difference!
Add Buffer Time
As a photographer, my timelines always include buffer time for travel or in case anything is running behind. If we’re right on schedule then you just have more time to chill and enjoy the day!
I hope these tips help you prepare for your big day! As your photographer, I am here to make sure you get every last ounce of joy out of it. After all this is your party!!
What I Love About First Looks | Denver Wedding Photographer
Your first look is an amazing part of your wedding day! If you aren’t sure about this tradition, this blog will explain why it’s such a romantic addition to your wedding day that not only adds to the experience, but also reduces stress! I never want my couples to feel pressured with this option, however I want to make sure I share all the benefits because there are reasons why couples do it and LOVE it!
Why It’s Worth It
More Portraits
You’re investing a lot into your wedding photography. With a first look, you’ll receive more portraits of the two of you and those are the images you’ll decorate your home with! With a first look, you’ll make the most out of this large investment!
Enjoy The Surprise Freely
With a first look you’ll actually get some intimate time with you soon to be husband or wife. Most brides don’t realize when you come down the aisle looking gorgeous… he can’t even tell you how amazing you look! He can’t touch you or really embrace you because you’re going right into the ceremony. You’ll have to 30 minutes to an hour after the ceremony for him to react and tell you how amazing you look! And after that time, the reaction isn’t quite the same.
Extend Your Day
First looks allow you to extend your wedding day. Normally the wedding day would start when you come down the aisle, then the ceremony would end and you’re rushing through portraits so you can make it to cocktail hour or the reception. With a first look, your wedding day is extended! Instead of being rushed for your bridal party portraits, you actually get to enjoy them and have fun hanging out with your best friends on your wedding day!
One Of The Few Moments You’re Alone Together
First looks allow you to be together and alone on your wedding day. When my couples see each other, not only is it intimate, but it was one of their only times they get to be alone all day! Normally portraits are a little rushed after family formals and it can be hard to get back in that “lovey dovey” mode… especially with family around. When you have just shared your first look, you’re READY to love on each other and I always capture super sweet images during those moments!
Diminishes Nerves
You get rid of your nerves! All of my couples who have done a first look admitted to being SO much more relaxed and ready for their ceremony after their first look!
First Touch
If you don’t think you want to do a first look, but still want some sort of intimate moment together, a first touch is another option you can plan into your wedding day!
Again, there is no pressure at all to do a first look! Plenty of my couples go with a first look down the aisle and that is great too! Not a lot of couples know a lot about how a first look works, so I just wanted to give you the info and some of the pros to having a moment like this! Here are a few more first looks for you to enjoy!
